We're working to ensure a world in which all TLGBQ+ people understand and defend their rights as workers.
We Need Economic Justice Now
As of 2018, there were over 5.4 million LGBTQ workers in the United States, of which almost 2 million are Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), according to The Movement Advancement Project.
Economic inequality is growing in the United States, disproportionately affecting TLGBQ+ BIPOC, people with disabilities, immigrants and formerly incarcerated folks.
This is why we need to build up our workers movement--to challenge the political and economic systems that push TLGBQ+ folks, particularly QTBIPOC, into unsafe or low-paying or jobs that don’t offer employee benefits, security, or stability.
